Job Title: Registered Nurse
Location: Union City, TN
Pay: $33.00/hr
Shifts:
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Monday - Friday)
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Monday - Friday)
Duration: Temporary position to fill in for 2 FT nurses on LOAs. Potential for extension beyond 3 months. Temp-to-hire opportunity.
Description:
Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in occupational health nursing. In this role, you will deliver health and safety programs and services to workers, focusing on promoting health, preventing illness and injury, and protecting from work-related hazards. Responsibilities include conducting medical history and physical assessments, maintaining confidentiality, and assisting with team member education on communicable diseases. Additional duties may be assigned by the manager.
Summary:
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Perform health assessments and screening tests.
- Maintain OSHA, state, and employee health records.
- Participate in safety and ergonomic programs.
- Assist with health promotion education and training.
- Identify and assist with workers' compensation cases.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Environment:
- 1,700 workers on site.
- Environment includes strong smells, live birds, wet floors, and cold temperatures.
Requirements:
- Completion of a registered nursing program required.
- Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse required.
- Spanish speaking candidates preferred.
- 2 years experience in occupational health nursing, Emergency room, or ICU.
- Basic computer skills required.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently, especially during 3rd shift.
- Must work well under stress and make quick decisions.
Travel:
- Occasional travel to local clinic or hospital.
Physical Requirements:
- Walking through the plant to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Ability to navigate steps and use ladders.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $33.00 per hour

- Evening shift
- Night shift
Weekly schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to Relocate:
- Tennessee: Relocate before starting work (Required)
