Field Applications Engineer
Job Description:
As a Field Applications Engineer at Arrow Electronics, you will play a crucial role in assisting our customers in selecting and integrating electronic components and solutions from our extensive line card. As a trusted advisor, you will utilize your technical expertise to provide guidance and support to ensure the success of both our customers and suppliers.
This job profile requires the assignment and participation in a sales compensation plan. A portion of On-Target Earnings will be variable and tied to specific sales-related goals as set forth by Arrow.
What You Will Be Doing:

• Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs, understanding customer needs, and leveraging engineering and design services resources
• Accelerate customers' time to market by providing technical support and leveraging internal and supplier support escalation paths
• Partner with customers to gain a thorough understanding of their design requirements at both system and component levels
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers
• Manage top opportunities and opportunity funnel for assigned suppliers
• Attend supplier trainings to stay current with technologies and market needs
• Train the local sales team on new products and assist in marketing efforts
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, managing expectations and keeping stakeholders informed on progress
• Actively participate in strategic branch meetings and quarterly business reviews, developing and driving strategic technical plans
• Help plan and organize engineering customer events and seminars
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
• Works independently; receives minimal guidance
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Contributes to process improvements
• Typically resolves problems using existing solutions
• Provides technical guidance and assistance to Arrow field sales staff

What We're Looking For:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Typically requires 5-7 years of electronic design experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering or 3 years with an advanced degree or equivalent work experience
• Mixed-signal and embedded design experience.
• Experience in C-programming and/or Embedded Linux
• Real-Time Operating System experience is a plus
• Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in embedded design
• Must be able to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers quickly
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skills

Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: 1 day in office / 4 days in the field

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$98,200.00 - $181,500.00
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
