Position Overview:
At Aroma360, we're in search of a Backend Software Engineer with specialized expertise in systems integration and data migration. This role is for a tech-savvy professional who can navigate the intricacies of API development, efficiently manage large data migrations, and skillfully integrate a variety of systems to optimize our e-commerce operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and optimize backend systems for our Shopify environment, focusing on seamless data integration and migration.
• Lead and execute complex data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime during transitions between systems.
• Craft and manage robust APIs for various integrations with third-party services, including subscription management platforms, payment processors, and CRM systems.
• Analyze existing backend processes and develop strategies to improve system efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend development with overall business objectives.
• Utilize strong data manipulation skills to ensure the accurate and secure handling of sensitive information.
• Maintain and enhance our cloud infrastructure, primarily within Google Cloud and AWS, to support scalability and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues, providing post-migration support as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, with a significant focus on systems integration and data migration.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages relevant to Shopify integration such as Ruby, Node.js, or Python.
• Demonstrated experience with API development, data structures, and complex data manipulation.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS) and understanding their use in e-commerce platforms.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies and data migration tools and frameworks.
• Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills with the capability to translate technical jargon into business-friendly language.
