- Conduct advanced research, including pilot studies.
- Develop, design, and conduct complex research projects.
- Formulate research methods and develop research criteria.
- Participate in grant writing, including generating preliminary data, submitting grant applications, and preparing progress reports.
- Derive, analyze, and format data for publications, presentations, and grant proposals.
- Present research findings to the lab at department meetings, and at national and international conferences.
- Participate in monthly research and professional meetings, seminars, and workshops.
- Write and prepare one manuscript per semester for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Establish and maintain peer networks within the University of Arizona and with national experts in their fields.
- Submit at least one NIH proposal (e.g., K-award)
- Additional duties as assigned.
