- Conduct independent experiments, evaluate the data, and keep appropriate records of all research activities.
- Read the literature, participate in scientific discussions with other members of the lab, and attend mandatory lab meetings.
- Cross-correlate and integrate results from different types of analysis and report on findings. Together with PI, formulate hypotheses on new pathways underlying immune aging.
- Receive training in wet-lab immunology and virology techniques and perform experiments to validate hypotheses, specifically related to microbial pathogens and the intersect of aging and genetics in biologicaloutcomes.
- Participate and/or attend departmental functions and lectures.
- Perform assigned lab duties to assist in the maintenance of stock reagents or the general operation of the lab, and various other duties or projects as assigned.
