Ticket Office Representative

Event Attendant

Job Description

ASU Gammage is seeking part-time employees to work in the ticket office during events and normal business hours. Our team supports the department with ticket sales in person and over the phone and provides customer service during events to a diverse group of patrons.

ASU Gammage accommodates up to 3, patrons a night. This position has no set hours since most work is event based. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties

  • Selling tickets on computerized system for events at ASU Gammage
  • Answering questions for patrons relating to the seats and / or performances
  • Processing orders for patrons over the phone and in person
  • Daily balancing of cash drawer
  • Filing and other office related duties
  • Other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

No prior experience required; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in cash handling and providing customer service to a diverse population.
  • Evidence of having flexible availability to accommodate working weekend / evening events.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.
  • Experience with a computerized ticketing system desired but not required.

Working Environment

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and seek clarification when needed.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Timely completion of work assignments.
  • Ability to greet patrons and sell tickets using a computerized system.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and / or pulling up to 25lbs.
