Arizona Bone Joint & Sports Medicine Center is seeking a full-time Research Coordinator with experience as a Physical Therapy/Chiropractic Technician, Personal Trainer or Exercise Physiologist. The primary responsibilities are to work closely with our providers in recruiting and following patients through a clinical trial focused on knee pain. You will utilize your background in rehabilitation and exercise prescription in this role. Previous experience in research is helpful but not necessary. You will also provide backup rehabilitation technician services to general musculoskeletal patients in our practice, and assist in nutrition and wellness counseling.

The position is an excellent fit for individuals with a background in both rehabilitation and exercise physiology/wellness who are looking to expand their skillset in clinical research.

Job Duties

• Screen and recruit eligible subjects into clinical trial
• Track patient progress through clinical trial
• Monitor exercise program during clinical trial
• Assist with rehabilitation (exercise prescription, stretching, modalities) at the direction of licensed clinical staff
• Coach patients on exercise instruction, fitness, diet, and nutrition
• Track patient progress through phone call and SMS text messaging
• Assist with patient check-in and contacting patients to follow-up on their satisfaction after treatment
• General clinic organization and upkeep
• 40 hours/week

Job Requirements

• Associates or bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, wellness, or fitness OR background as a personal trainer with a national certification (NASM, NSCA, USAW, etc) OR an a
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable on the phone and with in-person discussions
• Works well in a team setting
