We Are Seeking:

Desert Hand and Physical Therapy has an immediate opportunity for a full-time Receptionist who is willing to split duties as a Physical Therapy Technician to join our fun and talented team. This role would be a great opportunity for someone who is interested in the field of healthcare, specifically Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy.

Job Duties:

• Greeting patients and providing outstanding customer service
• Coordinating the care for each patient from initial evaluation to discharge
• Answering phones
• Electronic scheduling
• Data entry
• Verifying current personal and financial information
• Maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records
• Collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments
• Faxing, filing, and performing any other duties as assigned
• Assist Physical Therapists with patient care
• Administer heat/cold packs
• Maintain therapy equipment
• Ensure clean, neat clinic environment

Job Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• One year of previous medical front office experience
• Excellent telephone skills
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Preferred experience with Medical Manager, Medisoft, or other medical software
• Team player attitude, energetic, with a focus on excellent customer service
• Flexibility with hours
• Attention to detail
• Time management skills
• Organization and ability to multi-task
