Aris Water Solutions is Hiring a Mechanical Engineer (Hydraulic Design Engineering) Near Houston, TX

This position is responsible for assisting in the design, development, and operation of both pipeline systems and facilities with oversight from senior engineers. The hydraulics engineer is responsible for ensuring engineering efforts meet the organization's safety policies, are maintained within the organization’s budgetary restraints, and confirms the designs meet applicable regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, design, and optimization of water pipelines and associated facilities
  • Conducts hydraulic modeling of systems and design projects in support of operations, commercial and corporate development teams
  • Creates audits, and reviews operational flow procedures
  • Prepare engineering calculations for piping/facility specifications in support of new projects, modifications, and upgrades to existing facilities.
  • Prepare initial cost estimates and support commercial evaluation for new project proposals.
  • Interface with operations and construction staff to provide engineering support throughout the project life cycle, from initiation through closeout and operations.
  • Evaluate operating expenses to identify key areas of improvement and scope projects to help reduce expenses.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
  • Experience in the energy midstream, upstream oil & gas, or water midstream preferred
  • One (1) years of Engineering or Project Management experience in oil & gas production or production services environment preferred
  • Familiar with NextGen, PIPESIM, or Synergi hydraulic modeling software
  • Familiarity with both CAD Mapping and GIS Mapping
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal required
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment
