Systems Engineer - Senior (Model & Sim - Requirements Development Integration)
Why This is an Exciting Role:
In this role, you will be a systems engineer using Agile software development methods. You will assist in planning and executing Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Element Modeling and Simulation development and integration for the upgrades to the GMD Element.
As Systems Engineer on this team your duties will be:

• Coordinate and instruct the team in the development and integration of the GMD Element M&S hardware for the M&S products
• Coordinate and instruct the team for development of flow diagrams, develop Hardware Requirement Specification Document, and Interface Control Document
• Coordinate and instruct the team for review of system designs through Models Based Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo
• Coordinate and instruct the team in hardware modernization efforts for existing and future efforts
• Work effectively in a rapid paced team environment.

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD 9 years' related work experience, Master 12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard..

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with development or integration of hardware, operating systems, and network architecture
• Ability to understand complex system designs and trouble shoot issues
• Design flow diagram of system functionality
• Participation on an Agile development team
• Briefing completed work at iteration demonstrations
• Briefing completed work to stakeholders

Desired Qualifications:

• GMD program experience
• System of Systems Integration experience
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance and identify root cause and recommend solutions
• Knowledge of Agile development process
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, or the Atlassian tool suite (Jira)
• Utilization of Digital Engineering environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills, must be able to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires ship as a condition of employment. ( An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.)
This position requires clearing a background check and an enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition for employment.
Summary Pay Range:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$138,000 - $207,000
