Assessor Supervisor 4 DAY WORK WEEK

In addition, the AOoA is in the planning stages of moving to a 4-day workweek. We intend to fully implement the 4-day workweek beginning April 1st.

FUNCTION: This position reports directly to the SVP of LTC. Responsible for the supervision of Assessors, PAR, SRS IE, and CMAs.Supervise and development of the assessment team for waiver and other assessments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervises assessors and CMAs with their work quality, timeliness, and efficiency for staff working in PAR, OHCW, and SRS IE.
  • Reviews 100% of OHCW initial and annual assessments, prepares and completes state hearings related to eligibility, participates in care conferences, interacts with JFS for eligibility for OHCW, and communicates with OHCW CM supervisor and CareSource team lead to resolve individual issues.
  • Tracks data and submits billing for OHCW.
  • Supervises and backs up the SRS IE.
  • Supervises and backs up PAR worker.
  • MDS/CLS Home Choice Administrator duties.
  • Home Choice Supervisor back-up.
  • Provider Gateway Administrator back-up.
  • Supervisor back-up for PASSPORT & ALW Assessor Supervisor.
  • Follows all AOoA Human Resource policies and procedures.
  • Follows AOoA policies for staff evaluations and work performance and notifies LTC SVP, of employee issues.
  • Participates in applicant interviewing and staff selection process.
  • Processes Leave times and ADP for payroll.
  • Monitors and evaluates staff performance and adherence to policies and procedures, Ohio Administrative Code rules, CareSource, ODA, and ODM requirements, including required timelines.
  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
  • Has excellent computer skills and can work with multiple computer Programs. Guiding Care for OHCW and SRS PIMS

  • Develops policies, procedures, and processes for the Medicaid Waiver Programs. Reviews and revises policies and procedures to ensure program effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Assigns assessments and other long-term services and supports (LTSS) responsibilities to staff.
  • Implements a comprehensive process for obtaining the necessary information for monitoring effectiveness and ensuring program eligibility and Medicaid status.
  • Accompany supervisees on home visits to evaluate staff performance, consistency in the LOC process, and quality of assessments.
  • Coordinates and/or participates in trans-disciplinary care conferences with the care team including individuals, caregivers, care managers, medical professionals, CareSource, and service providers.
  • Participates in Program Audits and audit preparation as needed.
  • Trains and orients assessors, CMAs, agency staff, students, and the community to the Medicaid Waiver programs, person-centered care, participant-directed care, and other agency programs.
  • Assists staff in identifying and mobilizing community resources.
  • Plans and conducts orientation, in-service training, and continuing education for clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Prepares and reviews internal and external reports and documents including those for submission to CareSource, the Ohio Department of Aging, and/or the Ohio Department of Medicaid.
  • Identifies and works to resolve problems of program participants via record review and employee consultation.
  • Conducts care evaluation reviews, quality reviews, and reviews of clinical procedures and practices, as well as forms and program compliance.
  • Provides community education and program outreach on Medicaid Waiver Programs and the agency at health fairs and speaking engagements.
  • Confers with the CareSource Team Lead and or Quality Assurance Coordinator regarding quality assurance and utilization issues and consideration of procedural changes and training needs. Conducts process reviews to ensure compliance with all program requirements.
  • Participates in the evaluation of Medicaid and Non-Medicaid Programs.
  • Follows and ensures supervisee adherence to confidentiality and firewall policies and HIPAA compliance. Maintains employee-related confidentiality.
  • Maintain reliable transportation, insurance, valid driver's license, and the ability to satisfactorily undergo a Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR) on at least an annual basis.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. AUTHORITY AND RELATIONSHIP:

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Registered Nurse or Licensed Social Worker required B.S.N. or M.S.W. preferred, with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience in home care for the elderly, home health care, medical social work, or gerontology.

Weekly Schedule:
  • AOoA is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
  • Currently – Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours/week
  • 4-day schedule – Either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, 8.5 hours/day, 34 hours/week
