Job Description
We are seeking a Digital Engineering Lead to add to our dynamic team. In this role, you will be part of the leadership team responsible for overseeing the ideating, architecting, defining, and designingfuture defensive cyber operations (DCO) / security operations (SOC) solutions based on next generation open source and best of breed commercial solutions.
Your primary responsibility is to manage the delivery teams relationships with suppliers and the customer to ensure on-timesolution delivery to the client in a highly dynamic environment. This role focuses on capturing and scoping requirements, examining technical options, collaborating with the larger architecture team to tailor design outcomes, and ensuring that the selected vendors can delivertheir solutions within the project timeline.You will fuse a keen sense of empathy for the customers challenges with your hands-on expertise with SOC, DCO, and IT security solutions to delight the customer.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage Key Engagements: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and our value-added resellers during project delivery.
• Identify Customer Requirements: Meet with customers to understand and capture their current challenges and opportunities.
• Develop Solutions: Architect and design solutions to meet customer needs, accounting for functional requirements, scalability, performance, cost, resilience, and security needs.
• Collaborate Effectively: Leveragethe customers requirements; partner with sales, developers, engineering, and customer team members to solve issues and provide solutions.
• Deliver Value: Byensuring on time delivery of vendor supplied components to meet project delivery milestones.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Engagement Manager, Technical Account Manager, or other similar role.
• Thorough understanding of V-model based engineering including applicable testing phases and milestone mapping.
• Deep knowledge of the DoD Architectural Framework, including development ofoperational (OV), data (DIV), system (SV) and service (SvcV) view products.
• Utilizing architecture products to shape/inform solution requirements in support of acquisition objectives.
• Background in project management, sales, and customer service.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/project management software.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong verbal and presentation skills.
• Writing and editing technical/functional requirements, design specs, and design documents.

Required Qualifications

• 8 years industry experience in cybersecurity, information technology, cloud, or related roles.
• Demonstrated experience with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFAR), and government contracting, preferably with the Department of the Navy or other DoD entity.
• General IT, cloud computing, and cybersecurity technical literacy/proficiency.
• Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or other similar related field, or 5 additional years of equivalent experience.
• This is an on-site position in San Diego, CA. Candidates must live in the greater San Diego area or be willing to relocate there before starting.
• This position requiresthe ability to obtain and maintain a DoDSecret security clearance.
• The ability to travel to customer sites 0-25% as required.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a program manager or project lead within a large cross functional team.
• Served as primary contributor or technical editor to formal technical writing and deliverables.
• Understanding of modern threat environments and attack types, as well as secure system design.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to independently complete project tasks with minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task.
• Domain-related certifications are a plus, such as from Microsoft, SANS, Offensive Security, ISC2, etc.

• This is anonsite / in-office role.
