ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate commercial real estate transactions on single and multiple property deals nationwide.
  • Examine title search documents to determine the appropriate requirements to clear title, exceptions from coverage, legal description, and vested owner of subject property to be included in the title commitment.
  • Evaluate which documents need to be reviewed to determine the insurability of the property and the insured parties of a transaction.
  • Create and revise title commitment and proforma as necessary.
  • Verify that title insurance rates and coverage provided on the title commitment are given in accordance with instructions received by the insured parties of the transaction and in accordance with our underwriting guidelines.
  • Ensure that title products are completed in a timely manner and are of the highest quality. 
  • Communicate with operations teams, client, outside counsel, and title agent partners regarding issues with requested title insurance coverage or defects that may impact the closing of a transaction.
  • Communicate to supervisors any issues that may affect the closing of a transaction and any circumstances that may lead to client or customer dissatisfaction.
  • Prepare commercial Settlement Statements and/or Closing Disclosure and other closing documents as needed to create a complete signing package to be sent out for execution.
  • Provide quality customer service, including interacting with customers, real estate agents and attorneys.
  • Work with Disbursement team to disburse closing proceeds in accordance with parties’ instructions and applicable law.
  • Monitor workflow queues and department reports to ensure timely processing of the file through disbursement and follow ups for post-closing accounting issues.
  • Prioritizes daily work to ensure client SLAs are met for each metric assigned during the title and curative process.
  • Successfully meet or exceed all Company established performance/production metrics as set forth by the Senior Management Team. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Baccalaureate degree preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in commercial title and closing.
  • Work under general supervision.
  • Strong customer service skills required.
  • National commercial purchase and refinance experience preferred.
  • Experience utilizing ResWare or similar software preferred.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present issues, ideas and recommendations in verbal, written and presentation formats.
  • Highly motivated, inquisitive, self-started with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to high volume and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
