Arconic is currently in search of an Engineering Superintendent to join our AEX business unit in Lafayette, IN.

Essential Functions: Engineering Superintendent within AEX requires technical and interpersonal skills essential to teamwork. Major duties include but are not limited to:

• Direct all Engineers as required based on business priorities
• Manage Capital budget
• Manage Capital approval process
• Ensure projects forecasting is updated
• Ensure Asset inventory is being updated
• Prioritize projects based on plant needs
• Ensure all necessary processes and procedures impacted by Engineering work are being followed
• Work with the organization to establish a 5-year budget plan

General duties for the Engineering Superintendent include but are not limited to:

• Support Kaizen, 5S, Improvements projects through the organization
• Communicate business and department updates to the Engineers
• Work with Maintenance on root cause analyses and other activities as needed
• Manage salary vacation schedule
• Manage weekend coverage for Engineers as needed for emergency suppo

Basic Qualifications:

• An Associate’s degree in Maintenance or Engineering
• A minimum of 5 years of Management in heavy duty industry (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
• A minimum of 2 years of capital project coordination experience
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
