Bilingual HR Generalist I (Hybrid)
In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department and union Operations. You will manage employee records, HR systems, and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality. Additionally, this role will assist with the recruiting, on-boarding, and new hire orientation, ensuring new employees are successfully welcomed to the organization.
Job Duties
·Contribute to the recruitment process by participating in the sourcing for candidates, interviews and follow-up of applications.
·Administrative on-boarding tasks and delivery of new hire presentation for benefits.
·Responsible for new hire offer letter generation
·Manage relocation program
·Complete administrative tasks for HR processes including but not limited to, retirement & savings plan, union requests, wellness initiatives, recognition program, compliance training.
·Manage employee benefits, STD/LTD, and other benefit programs for current and retired employees.
·Responsible for overseeing & entering employee data in the HRIS system, while ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
·Update company policies and procedures and translation from English to French.
·Coordinate with operations team on compliance training needs.
·Assist with employee relations matters and investigations
·Cross-functional partnerships on HR special projects.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s Degree or relevant years of experience
·3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position
·Bilingualism required in English and French (spoken and written).
·Knowledgeable of Quebec employment laws
·Familiar with union environment
·High level of professional ethics and confidentiality
·Good analytical and summarizing skills
·Experience using an HRIS system (UKG) or other HR systems
·Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·Some travel required – 5%
