DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
Location: Catholic Education Foundation
Status: Exempt, Full Time
POSITION SUMMARY
The Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) seeks an innovative, experienced, creative, collaborative and engaged Director of Marketing and Communications to lead the Foundation’s wide communications efforts and initiatives. The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for the continued development and implementation of an integrated marketing and communication program that encompasses publications, digital media, print materials, and liaison to ADLA media relations to ensure that communications effectively illustrate and support the mission and strategic objectives of the Foundation. This position manages the stewardship and engagement manager and the marketing and communications team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Because all Archdiocesan employees represent the Roman Catholic Church, they are expected to conduct themselves according to the goals and mission of the Church in performing their work.
  • Develop and implement an integrated marketing and communications plan for the Foundation that ensures regular, clear, relevant, and timely information and communications.
  • Collaborate with the CEF Development staff to maintain brand and messaging consistency across all external and internal communications.
  • Serve as the lead brand ambassador by ensuring that all marketing and communications materials reflect the CEF mission.
  • Manage the production and design of all printed materials, videos, and online communications.
  • Working with the Executive Director and Chief of Staff, oversees and manages the annual production of the Impact Report.
  • Manage edits and writes articles and content for printed materials, website, annual report and social media.
  • Manages and oversees the update of CEF’s website content and oversee messaging strategy for social media platforms, working across the development department to post content.
  • Strategizes, develops, and implements new ideas for marketing campaigns, measuring the effectiveness of campaigns by analyzing website and social media metrics.
  • Tracks the performing and non-performing aspects of the marketing strategy at all levels of the Foundation.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Chief of Staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a relevant area of marketing and communications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop is required.
  • Experience with website design and maintenance is required.
  • Solid understanding of web analytic tools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Skills in:
  • Be a team player and have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal and be able to multitask.
  • Strong leadership and management.
Ability to:
  • Ability to work on a deadline independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Sit for sustained periods of time on a daily basis.
  • Perform tasks requiring intermittent bending, stooping, and walking.
  • Sustain frequent movement of the fingers, wrists, hands, and arms.
