Responsibilities

Performs complex analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for a diverse portfolio of programs. Acts as a key technical expert on financial analysis issues. Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met. Monitors the status of financial accounts, ensuring that program charges accurately reflect the correct labor hours and rates, subcontractor costs and other direct costs (ODCs). Interfaces with management, responding to their requests for financial data.

Major Responsibilities/Activities Statements:

• Must have a strong Financial & Accounting background, have a good understanding of overall business operations, and will enjoy working on complex and critical projects geared toward growing the business.
• Solid understanding of all government contract types and associated contract terms and conditions
• Understanding of FAR/DCAA/CAS compliance requirements
• Knowledge of contract revenue recognition methods and standards
• Costpoint Project Setup proficiency (includes set up of the WBS, revenue, billing, ceilings, funding, PLCs, etc.)
• Support annual operating plan and monthly forecasting exercises.
• Financial modeling, value added reporting, and variance analysis.
• Tracking of contract material and ODC purchases
• Ensure customer invoices are submitted timely and accurately.
• Ad hoc reporting as requested.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• BS 8 to10 years, Master's degree 6 to 8 years or PhD 3 to 5 years of related Program Finance experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• Experience within the defense and/or commercial industry
• Experience with commercial contracts
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
• Well organized, reliable, and highly motivated with ability to handle multiple projects and produce timely, high-quality work.
• Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Advance Excel modeling skills with ability to mine, consolidate, and report on complex data structures resulting in visibility for decision support (queries, pivots, lookups, etc)
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)

Desired:

• Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint, Cognos, and TM1 (FocusPoint) preferred.
