Arcadia Oaks is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Sarasota, FL

A fast growing medical office is looking to hire a highly organized and detail-oriented bilingual (Spanish) speaking Medical Receptionist to join our team. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for providing administrative support in a medical setting, ensuring efficient patient service and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be familiar with medical terminology, and have experience with various medical software systems.
Currently, this is a part-time opportunity with 24 hours/week with possibility of converting into full-time position within 3-4 months.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and check-in patients, verifying demographic information and insurance details
  • Schedule appointments and manage the physician's calendar
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
  • Collect co-pays and process payments
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous 1-3 years of experience in a medical office is required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures a plus
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
