We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator

You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool. The goal is to ensure our business’s accommodation is problem-free and safe so that employees can work under the best conditions.

Accountabilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
    Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems
  • Maintain, operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building management system, and building repairs
  • Monitor and supervise HVAC preventive Maintenance contracts
  • Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors
  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.
  • Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken
  • Allocate office space according to needs
  • Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, fire/life safety, and other systems
  • Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
  • Maintain compliance to City, County, State ordinances and codes
  • Support any after hours building needs and activities as required
  • Maintain and support outside facility looks and landscaping as well as snow removal contracts
  • Other assigned tasks as requested. Including helping to support production should the time and need present itself
  • Handle insurance plans and service contracts
  • Keep financial and non-financial records
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Fulfill all Health and Safety responsibilities as identified in the ArcelorMittal Occupational Health and Safety Program
  • Fulfill the Health, Safety & Environmental responsibilities identified in the HSE Management Standards and OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 Management Systems.
  • Fulfill the Quality Management System responsibilities identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbooks
  • Perform any other reasonable assignments given by Management
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills, Requirements, and Personal Traits:

  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentation), with the ability to communicate effectively both with employees and external industry groups
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint)
  • High degree of Integrity
  • Proven ability to achieve results
  • Proven ability to work with and develop people
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) will be an advantage
  • Well versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
