Who We Are:

The Arc Mercer's health services (for people with special needs in Greater Mercer County) are provided by experienced physicians, includes psychiatrists, a registered nursing staff and licensed counselors.

Who We Need:

We are currently looking for a Per Diem LAC (Licensed Associate Counselor) to work with individuals with developmental disabilities in our healthcare center located in Ewing, NJ.

What We Need:

• Provide direct clinical services to clients through one on one and group sessions.
• Complete initial assessments with patient and support system and complete related paperwork to be reviewed by the Practice Administrator.
• Make assessments on client presenting problems and disorders and provide diagnosis.
• Collaborate with a team of providers to evaluate all contributing psychiatric factors toward the condition of clients.
• When needed, travel to other facilities to attend training or provide services.
• Ensure accurate documentation of sessions.

What You Need:

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Special Education or related field.
• Possession and Maintenance of a Associate Counselor License
• Good Interpersonal, organization and writing skills and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• The ability to build rapport with patients through education of Arc Mercer Processes and need for treatment.
• Serve as a role model to staff, patients, employees, and guests with a positive, caring and professional attitude.
