Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides a variety of human resource services to employees and administrators at all levels. Works as a team member requiring some judgment and independent decision making in determining departmental needs and serves as a resource for departments regarding human resource functions. Must have an excellent work ethic and be able to provide superior customer service in a fast paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Serves as a human resource contact; advises management regarding human resource related issues; and participates in process improvement activities.
  2. Maintains current knowledge of and interprets State and Federal human resource law and ARC Automotive, Inc. policies and procedures.
  3. Screens applications for qualifications; assists departments in coordinating the selection, hiring and recruitment process.
  4. Assists in investigations and resolution of grievances and conflicts.
  5. Completes all workman's comp investigations and assists in overall safety and accident prevention. 
  6. Assists corporate Environmental Health & Safety Manager in all thing's safety including PPE monitoring. 
  7. Attends warning and termination hearings.
  8. Performs data entry, including, but not limited to, salaried promotions, transfers and pay increases in the human resource information system.
  9. Assists in resolving benefits concerns and questions.
  10. Provides training and development to hourly employees.
  11. Prepares and maintains purchase requisitions and supplies for the facility. 
  12. Works with janitor to ensure office and facility cleanliness. 
  13. Supports facility with general office duties as assigned. 
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related area or *equivalent, with a minimum of one (1) year of professional human resources experience to include demonstrated knowledge of all human resource functions; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required. Must possess excellent computer skills and be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Human Resources data entry experience preferred.

*Any equivalent combination of relevant experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work will take place in an office environment. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion. The employee may encounter controlled air conditions with frequent air changes, environmental exposure, and lift up to 60 pounds.
