Arbor Diagnostics is Hiring a Specimen Management Manager Near Dallas, TX

Job Summary:

The Manager in Specimen Management is responsible for the management, implementation, and support of accessioning and send-out teams. This individual works closely with laboratory leaders as directed by the Director Clinical Operations. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple cross-functioning teams will be essential.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews and hires new staff
  • Directly supervises the daily workflow for Specimen Management
  • Provides constructive feedback and timely performance evaluations
  • Monitors and approve timecards
  • Manages discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Required to perform accessioning and send-out tasks as needed
  • Follows laboratory procedures for specimen management
  • Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and corrects the problems.
  • Serves as an escalation point for staff
  • Manages and adjust workflow, processes, and staffing
  • Reports monthly metrics
  • Reports monthly QEB
  • Prepares for CAP readiness
  • Proficient in LIS and Sales Force
  • Writes and or revises policies and procedures

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to translate regulatory, business environment and technical understanding to action plans and create resolutions
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer literacy required
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large amounts of data, including diligent checks for accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must be analyzed for color perception

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 or more years of applicable work experience

Travel and Hours:

  • The hours of this position will be dependent upon the shift the employee is hired for
  • Limited travel is required with this position (less than10%)
