What You'll Do
The Technical Publications & Communications Specialist manages the publishing of all manuals in coordination with HQ Korea. Collaborates with HQ Korea and Elanders for the upkeep of DEVELON Publications website as well as other depository for manuals. Additionally, coordinate the communication of technical and service-related communications to internal as well as external audiences.
I. Technical Publications
Publications System
  • Manage the release of manuals (including shop, parts, operation, and attachments) from Korean and NA suppliers for NA dealer/customer use.
  • Research and report inaccuracies in serial number prefixes and manual errors to the Korean publications team.
  • Work with product managers on the translation of vendor parts books into DEVELON format for North America publishing.
  • Provide IT support to internal staff and dealer users that have visibility issues.
  • Attend bi-weekly internal product launch meetings and report manual publishing efforts/status for newly released models to stakeholders, directors, and CEO.
  • Resolution Point of Contact for issues such as providing printed operation manuals for machines that were shipped to NA dealers without the manuals in the operator's cab.
  • Audit site for vendor failures and conduct quarterly meetings to discuss findings and areas of improvement.
Publications Quality and Technology
  • Develop and maintain internal publication processes with the Korean publication group to have quarterly interactions regarding quality improvements of manuals, including translation and content quality.
II. Communications
Service-related Content
  • Manage creation and distribution of relevant and appropriate service-related content to be delivered to DEVELON dealers, end users, and internal personnel via emails and/or a dedicated dealer web portal or other delivery methods.
  • Using DEVELON University (SABA) coordinate quarterly dealer parts and service dealer call-in meetings to provide DEVELON dealers with relevant and timely parts and service-related information.
  • Organize planning and strategy meetings with Parts and Service stakeholders to determine relevant topics and presenters for each call.
  • Coordinate with all presenters with the creation of cohesive and professional presentations.
  • Conduct practice webinar to ensure presenters are ready to deliver content on the day of the live call.
  • Conduct and moderate live webinar.
  • Review attendee reports for live calls and manually shore any discrepancy in attendees between DEVELON University.
  • Change the status of a webinar to be delivered to issue attendance credit to attendees.

Requirements
What You'll Need to be Successful
  • Education Required: Bachelor's or Technical Degree, or equivalent experience
  • Experience Required: Prefer 1-2 years
  • Travel Required: up to 10%
  • Strong writing skills. Experience writing service-related content would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of HDINA products and dealer requirements preferred.
  • Experience with managing software development projects
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro
