An Aquarium Technician (Aquarist) is needed for a Northland located aquarium service center. This is a very flexible PT/FT position for morning and/or afternoon work.
We provide the KC Metro (MO & KS) with over 35yrs of commercial and residential maintenance service for freshwater, saltwater and reef aquariums. If you currently maintain your own fish tank(s) or have done so in the past, you are exactly what we are looking for!
Primary Job Duties:
Regular cleanings of aquariums; gravel vac/cleaning, algae removal, water changes, etc.
Removal and replacement of various filter media in hang-on, cannister and sump systems.
Replacing decorations with new/clean ones.
Replacing bulbs, light fixtures, heaters, pumps etc.
Must be able to lift 40lbs (5g bucket of water) occasionally more.
Although this is primarily a PT position, Monday - Friday, holidays off, you can still expect 25-35hrs per week. We can accommodate most schedules and will find one that suits our needs as well as yours.
You must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation. Fuel costs will be reimbursed to you and the pay period is twice a month. Starting pay is minimum wage or more depending on your knowledge and/or experience.
