Aqua Sierra Controls a highly recognized Instrumentation and Electrical Contractor specializing in process control automation for Industrial and Municipal installations for over 40 years is in immediate need of a qualified Assistant Controls Estimator to support our Senior Estimator in assisting in the preparation of accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor cost.
Responsibilities
· Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand project requirements and identify potential cost implications.
· Understanding of control panel design and the components required for the construction of control panels.
· Understanding of PLC programming.
· Electrical controls knowledge.
· Ability to read blueprints and other contracts, documents, and reports as well as draft proposed construction details.
· Source and maintain a database of current material and labor prices to ensure accurate cost estimation.
· Support the Senior Estimator in analyzing bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers.
· Assist in the preparation of cost breakdowns, cost comparisons, and cost forecasts.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
· Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost calculations.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all work
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Pay: $72,800.00 - $93,600.00 per year
