Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately estimating project costs and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. If you have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and negotiation, we would love to hear from you. Duties: - Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to prepare accurate cost estimates - Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes - Utilize industry-standard software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to perform takeoffs and generate detailed cost estimates - Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that outline pricing breakdowns, labor costs, materials, and subcontractor expenses - Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable contract terms - Continuously monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints - Collaborate with the project management team to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards - Assist in value engineering efforts by suggesting alternative materials or construction methods that can reduce costs without sacrificing project requirements Requirements: - Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry - Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, techniques, and best practices - Proficiency in using software tools such as Bluebeam for takeoffs and HeavyBid for estimating - Solid understanding of construction management processes and procedures - Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts - Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail - Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors - Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders including project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines If you are a motivated individual with a passion for construction estimating and a desire to contribute to the success of our projects, we encourage you to apply.
