About The Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Media Relations Lead to join our team as a self-driven communications professional that’s excited about web3. You will be leading media relations, ensuring media and content coverage across priority messaging areas for Aptos and the Aptos ecosystem .

What you'll be doing:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive media relations strategy that aligns with our company's goals and objectives.
• Act as the primary liaison between the company and the media, including journalists, bloggers, and influencers in the blockchain and technology sectors.
• Craft compelling press releases, media pitches, and presentations to promote our technology, partnerships, and milestones.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and challenges for media engagement.
• Manage crisis communication and respond to media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Organize and coordinate media briefings, and interviews.
• Work closely with the marketing and leadership teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of media relations campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Web3 knowledge and experience required
• 7-10 years of experience in media relations or public relations, preferably in the blockchain, technology, or fintech sectors.
• Strong network of media contacts and proven track record of securing coverage in top-tier outlets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex blockchain concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decision-making.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $135k-175k. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and typical maximum target for new hire salaries for the position of a candidate based in the Bay Area at any level. We do hire exceptionally talented professionals with decades of experience in their field. As such, our range may be higher than what is displayed. Our base salary ranges are determined by experience and location, and we hire at all levels for multiple roles. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills demonstrated during the interviews, working experience, and relevant education or training.
