APTIM is hiring to perform Installation Support Services for the United States Army Garrison Redstone (USAG-R) Department of Public Works (DPW) with our partner SUNIK. This include Pollution Controls, Compliance, Environmental Restoration Services, Landfill Operations, Engineering & Work Management Services, Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, and Service Orders for Facilities, Waste Water, Steam and Infrastructure at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. **Key Responsibilities:**
A seasoned experienced professional with a full understanding of mechanical engineering resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways
Broad application of principles, theories and concepts in mechanical engineering, plus working knowledge of other related fields
Provides resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering.
Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
May perform in project leadership role and/or may supervise the activities of lower level personnel
Contributes to a team environment. Perform detailed technical analysis of complex project issues.
Break complex technical tasks into manageable subtasks.
Travel to site locations to provide engineering support, meetings with clients, and meetings at other company offices to support engineering efforts.
**Basic Qualifications:**
Requires Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 -- 10 years related experience.
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and technical engineering software, some CADD experience (AutoCAD, REVIT and/or MicroStation) along with good verbal and writing skills.
Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
Field experience is a plus
Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background check to gain access to government facilities
FE and EIT candidates preferred.
PE is a plus
