As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting Applied's monthly consolidation process and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. You will have the opportunity to have a positive impact by providing assistance with the month-end, quarter-end & year-end closes, maintaining financial records and assisting in financial analysis on a monthly basis.

Your Day-To-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare adjusting and month-end journal entries.
• Prepare G/L and bank account reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Communicate with other departments and locations on account reconciliation details.
• Perform variance analysis as part of the monthly close process.
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Maintain procedures to ensure that transactions are executed in accordance with general or specific authorization.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely records of business transactions.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and projects.

Staff Accountant Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2 to 4 years of experience preferred but not required
• Internship in accounting and/or finance is preferred
• Strong analytical skillset
• Ability to work independently and be able to prioritize workload
• High degree of attention to details
• Ability to multitask (especially during the three-day month end close)
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ownership and pride in your work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
• SAP & BPC experience is a plus but not required.
• BlackLine experience is a plus but not required.
