Payroll Specialist Will have 1 month of training. Some knowledge of Union payroll, multi-state experience, high volume, will handle garnishments and update payroll records, resolve discrepancies.

Payroll Specialist

Job Responsibilities include:

• Collecting and verifying timesheets.
• Verifying time in payroll systems (HH2 and SAGE).
• Communication with jobsite personnel daily to correct time entry issues.
• Answering employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll.
• Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies.
• Maintaining and updating payroll records.
• Preparing periodic payroll reports.
• Processing layoff checks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction payroll.
• Previous experience in payroll or a similar role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of wage labor laws and union labor compliance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management and team members
• Detail-oriented work ethic. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Knowledge of Sage accounting software
• Spanish language
