JOB DESCRIPTION

The dealerships Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for maintaining these parts of financial records.

The Individual is also responsible for companies’ departments cash disbursements and ensuring proper internal control with intercompany transactions.

Additional duties include:

• Record daily transactions from credit card statements and perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Track the company's accounts payable by performing data entry, reporting generation, and maintaining an accurate day-to-day ledger.
• Facilitate payment of vendors, including verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing invoices, and reconciling differences. Preparation and filing of 1099s forms.
• Maintain the general ledger. Determine and process the end of the month and end of the year closing journal entries.
• Ensure that all communication, correspondence, receipts, disbursements, and other activities involving customers, vendors, and employees are confidential and performed in a cooperative, harmonious manner while maintaining proper controls and safeguards on company assets.
• Identify, analyze, and post to the General Ledger all other financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory licenses and permits, leases, contracts, legal agreements, and operational taxes (Sales tax reports and others).
• Perform miscellaneous financial projects, analyses, and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of two (2) years overall experience in dealership accounting.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealership DMS.
• Basic knowledge of Job Order Costing Accounting.
• Advance knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; good decision maker; goal-oriented.
