APIC Solutions Inc is Hiring a Low Voltage Project Manager Near Albuquerque, NM

Overall Responsibility:

This position will work as a Project Manager for the Low Voltage Division and will manage project responsibilities in a manner that exceeds our customers’ expectations and adheres to all company policies. This position reports to the Low Voltage Division Manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities.

  1. Contribute to client & project team management/relationship development.
  2. Attending jobsite meetings.
  3. Develop, manage & coordinate construction schedule.
  4. Ensure all deadlines are met.
  5. BIM coordination
  6. Assistance with Budgeting & Estimating
  7. Document control for submittals, RFIs, change orders, etc.
  8. Maintain drawings and specifications.
  9. Material releases/expediting
  10. Field supervision for support as needed.
  11. Administrative duties as needed.
  12. Maintain safety related documentation as needed.
  13. Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by executives.
  14. Manage all required weekly paperwork for the project ensuring they are complete and submitted on time.
  15. Maintain a high level of customer and employee satisfaction.
  16. Ensure all projects are accurately tracked through Spectrum and Exact time.
  17. Maintain all project info organized on the company server.
  18. Attending project hand off with the estimating manager when approval is received.
  19. Utilize time management and organization skills to service multiple projects simultaneously.
  20. Manage weekly required paperwork for all direct report low voltage team members.
  21. Ensure all projects are completed within the project budget.
  22. Achieve revenue goals as determined by the yearly divisional budget.

As required and directed, the following activities, including, but not limited to:

  1. Demonstrates continuous improvement in field process quality and cost performance. Maintains high efficiency in the utilization of company resources. Minimizes lost or non-productive time. Helps project future company resource needs.
  2. Maintains a skilled construction workforce. Reviews construction personnel annually or as assigned by Project Manager.
  3. Ensures APIC quality standards are upheld through regular quality control inspections.
  4. Ensures that all field employment actions are done properly and well documented.
  5. Leads Field Process Improvement actions.
  6. Maintains a high level of Field safety consciousness.
  7. Ensures that all field employees have adequate understanding of the work they are performing. Directs field-training sessions per process.
  8. Through training, direction, and other communication, ensures that construction operations operate efficiently and profitably.
  9. Ensures that field personnel meet schedule, cost, and technical requirements.
  10. Reviews job costs regularly and takes prompt action on problem items.
  11. Represents the company in a professional manner, maintaining good communication with other construction supervisors and owner representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Low voltage, Special systems installation and troubleshooting expertise.
  2. Four (4) years of experience in project estimating, design build and negotiated project development.
  3. High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
  4. Significant prior contract and administrative expertise to include organization, coordination, and performance of duties at a responsible level.
  5. Experienced and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Word/Excel/Power Point. Strong vocabulary, spelling, and grammar for professionally written correspondence.
  6. Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
  7. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
  8. Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with employees and customers.
  9. Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and diplomacy in all customer dealings, negotiating for win-win outcomes.
