Job Description:

Position: Software Engineer
Location: Orlando, Florida
Duration : 6 month contract-to-hire
Rate Range?: $40-60/hr

Position Overview:
The contractor will be working on a program to help train a service branch of the U.S. military on how to operate and coordinate with other units within an aviation unit. The work will be in development of a simulated environment that will be deployed to the customer site.
Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
Establishes, conducts, and documents software tests based on client requirements
Works on design and development of software and software applications
Adheres to code standards
Modifies code on current applications as the requirements change
Participates in standup meetings and code reviews
Selling Points for Candidates:
1. ?DoD/simulation experience
2. Remote Fridays. Bring your dog to work day every other Friday.
Requirements:

Bonus: Has a clearance already

Will want them to get a clearance when they convert perm in around 6-mo to get a Secret Clearance

Looking for Level 2 (3 years experience) and Level 3 (7 years experience)

C (will be doing object-oriented primarily, not embedded)

Open to considering someone from another language if they have some C and or are open to working with that willing to vet

Years of experience/programming do not have to be exclusive to C

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT field
Plusses:

DoD and/or simulation experience - HIGHLY desirable

Atlassian Suite/Jira

Familiar with Military Helicopters
