Job Description:

Apex Systems has an opening available for a Business Systems Analyst with one of our top financial clients in Baltimore, MD. The main function of a Business Systems Analyst is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications. Location: Baltimore, MD
Hybrid: 2 days a week onsite, the rest remote
Duration: 12 month contract
Responsibilities:

• Applies a lean-agile mind-set to work and supports organizational agility
• Active participation throughout the software development process
• Using questions and proposals to clarify requirements when unclear
• Independently works with domain experts on low to medium complexity work to ensure clarity of the problem/opportunity and elicit business requirements
• Working closely with a variety of internal and external business partners to ensure that all business requirements are understood, documented, and met
• Creating and organizing documentation such as project inception & technical architecture diagrams

Requirements:

• SQL - basic SQL queries
• API - Understanding of how API's work, access, and use via Postman
• Gathering requirements and working with C-Level executives
• Software Testing and Documentation
• Proficient in Excel and Data Analysis
• Ideal candidates have financial experience, more specifically trading experience working with OMS or EMS/Execution Management Systems such as Charles River, Portware, TradeWeb, Bloomberg, MarketAxess, etc.
• Past programming experience or ability to do light scripting would be favorable. Any high level scripting experience will be helpful for the purpose of working with the team responsible for scripting and having more productive conversations. Any scripting language is acceptable, but python, R, and matlab, or any object oriented coding language is preferable
