The Role:
As a Rock Wall Attendant, you'll be the heartbeat of indoor rock climbing at Apex Park and Recreation District. Your mission is to inspire and guide our members through the thrilling world of climbing.

What You'll Do:

• Take center stage by leading engaging climbing classes on a weekly basis.
• Demonstrate, instruct, and actively supervise participants during lessons, classes, and events.
• Collaborate with the Rock Wall Lead and Recreation Coordinator to create memorable climbing experiences.
• Uphold safety as a top priority, ensuring a secure environment for all climbers.
• Keep a watchful eye on the whereabouts of our members, ensuring their well-being.
• Implement appropriate disciplinary techniques when needed and maintain detailed incident logs.
• Accurately track daily attendance and maintain essential records.
• Show some love to our climbing wall and auto belays by taking care of the general maintenance tasks.
• Communicate and interact effectively with parents, supervisors, co-workers, and participants.
• Be an expert in organization, managing supplies and equipment with ease.
• Stay calm and make sound judgments in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Report directly to the Recreation Coordinator and embrace additional duties as needed.
• Knowledge of sports and coaching/teaching.
• Knowledge of injury prevention and treatment.
• Knowledge of principles for teaching sports skills.
• Knowledge of organizing practices.
• Knowledge of warm-up and physical conditioning.

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18
• 1-2 years previous rock-climbing experience.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.

• Showcase your strength, agility, stamina, and flexibility while lifting, carrying, or moving objects up to 50 lbs.
• Embrace the adventure of crouching, kneeling, bending, stooping, and assisting children for extended periods.
• Rock out in a moderate to high noise level work environment.
