Position Summary, Duties and Responsibilities

District services building maintenance technician: This role focuses on our access control system(s) that includes doors/gates maintenance/operation. This position is aimed at operating and maintaining the entire access control ecosystem from physical door hardware thru to the operating software. This ecosystem involves daily issuing of physical keys, key fobs, and repairing door/gate hardware. On occasion there are other building maintenance duties that, at times, may include everything from minor plumbing fixes to minor drywall patching to minor roof repairs.

Job Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic building systems. Ie: Plumbing, Electrical, Framing etc.
• Ability to learn access control system(s) and other complex databases.
• Knowledge of safe maintenance practices.
• Ability to follow instruction and stay on task.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools necessary to perform basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical & plumbing repairs / maintenance work.
• Be able to lift 50 – 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in adverse conditions and work on short timetables.
• Good customer service and communication skill.
• Basic computer skills. Ie: Emailing, and data entry. Knowledge in MS Word and MS Excel is a plus.
• Be able to navigate and operate workflow computer management software(s). Knowledge in Avigilon and PDK a plus

• Internally motivated to learn new skills.
• A positive attitude.
• Detail oriented.
• Able to drive a truck with trailer…. Being able to back both up is a big plus.
• Basic/Introductory electrical wiring knowledge.

Education and Experience

• Must be 18.
• High School diploma or equivalent or current student.
• Must possess current and valid Colorado driver's license.

Work Environment

• Physical activity required including handling objects weighing 50 - 75 pounds frequently.
• Sits, stands, bends and moves frequently during working hours.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals, and blood borne pathogens possible.
• Interacts with recreation services staff, public vendors and contractors frequently.
