Well established and growing company is looking for a Dispatch Supervisor for its East Dundee facility.

Qualified candidates will have strong communication skills both written and verbal and be able to manage and consider a number of variables. Must be able to maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers.

Hours are Monday-Thursday from 6pm to 4am and Sunday's from 12pm to 4pm off Friday and Saturday.

Responsibilities:

• Clearly understand all federal, state and safety regulations as well as equipment requirements to assure safe, compliant and successful deliveries.
• Assign vehicles, dispatch all routes and drivers while on duty insuring maximum efficiency of staff and equipment.
• Coordinate all scheduled deliveries and pickups through communication with drivers, responding to potential delays and adjusting as needed.
• Communicate with staff in multiple departments including but not limited to Sales and purchasing relaying information regarding timeliness of deliveries and pickups.
• Audit and authorize all pre and post trip inspection reports while on duty.
• Supervise all loading of product assuring accuracy and proper care for product.
• Provide reports as required including but not limited to, daily dispatch log and repair log.
• Move box trucks between buildings to transport animals to loading area.
• Coordinate airport pickups and physically make pickups as needed.
• Review dispatch schedule weekly and make written recommendations to improve efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Employee is frequently and regularly required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stoops, kneel or bend. The ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time is required.
• Employee is required to safely and effectively operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to work in a moderately noisy environment.
