Well established and growing company is looking for an Aquatics Purchasing Assistant for its East Dundee facility. Strong candidates possess excellent verbal/written communication and strong computer skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to maintain relationships with our suppliers and must provide a competent, professional and personable representation of the company.

Schedule would be Monday – Friday from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for purchasing and managing inventory of fresh water fish.
• Work all facets of procurement to achieve established mark-up goal to include but not limited to shipping, handling, product cost, inventory management and managing shrink
• Maintain vendor relationships which are professional and as expected in every communication and transaction.
• Submit reports, invoices and information to other departments in timely fashion.
• Occasional travel to supplier facilities.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Knowledge of and passion for fish -Huge Plus!
• Compassion for our animals, customers, and employees
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of related experience
• High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including outlook
