Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a Cook to join our cafeteria team.
Responsibilities:The position of cook provides for the preparation and distribution of food to patients, visitors and staff of Shriners Hospitals.
Practices Serve Safe Sanitation
- Sanitation according to the guidelines of Serve Safe is practiced at all times.
Prepares Catering Functions and consistently maintains quality
- Catering functions are prepared on time and to what the customer has ordered
Prepares patient meals in accordance with specific diets and is prepared at meal time
- Patient meals are made according to their diet and are ready on time for tray line.
Ensures proper temp of all food served in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- The temp of our food is at acceptable level according to or policy and procedure manual

- Tally sheets are followed so that extra food is not left over after tray line.
Prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menu
- Cafeteria males are done on time. There is sufficient backup so that the caf does not run out of food.
Certification and Licensures Food Handlers Card Required
