JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Assistant Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products. You will be responsible for supporting the Product Manager and managing your own categories through the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring that our products meet the needs of our customers and align with the company's strategic goals. A strong familiarity or interest in the fishing and/or outdoor industries is preferred. We seek enthusiastic, proactive individuals eager to learn and passionate about crafting innovative products that customers adore.
This position reports to the Product Manager and is a full-time role based in our Springfield, MO office.
As the Assistant Product Manager, you will have an opportunity to:
· Assist Product Manager in the end-to-end product development process, from concept to market launch.
o Product Briefing
o Spec Pack Management
o Factory Communication
o Inter-departmental communication and coordination
· Build and manage spec packages with all the technical details and design components needed for the final product. Ensure they're accurate and delivered to vendors on time.
· Track and monitor products through the full development process with your vendors and suppliers, and report weekly the status of all active product developments.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
· Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
· Provide training and support to sales teams on product features, benefits, and competitive differentiators.
· Monitor product performance and make necessary improvements.
· Keep up to date with industry trends, competitive products, and product reviews to stay ahead of the competition.
