Summary / Role Purpose

The Strategic Engagements Manager will define, implement, and continuously improve account strategy and processes. This individual will be responsible for creating and driving engagements with all market segments. The incumbent will create and drive programs critical to our expansion of the region. Responsibilities include driving efficiencies around sales, account planning, strategic planning, enabling programs, and finally, partnering with Business Operations, Marketing, and Development Departments. This individual will also directly support GTM leadership working through communications, presentations and driving alignment with messaging and initiatives coming from the corporate headquarters.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and drive engagements with all market segments across the region’s accounts and cross-functionally with other Ansys Departments
  • Strategic planning on a broad basis with North America’s sales teams
  • Specific and direct involvement on key identified targets, from concept to closure
  • Develops approach and business case (including required investments) to deliver sustainable growth
  • Creates productive collaboration between global Ansys teams supporting the account(s)
  • Identify, create, and execute key strategic initiatives and enable the sales team and leadership to execute
  • Create programs to support upselling opportunities in the install base
  • Partner with Account Managers and Business Operations and Finance on large, multi-year and complex deals


Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or other related field with 5 years of relevant work experience in Sales, Marketing, or related field OR 9 years of relevant experience
  • Marketing, sales or related field
  • 2 years of strategic planning experience
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate and bring people together, and drive to results are essential
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • MBA or another advanced degree
  • Ability to earn trust through performance and relationship-building
  • Ability to influence employees at all levels of the organization
