Job Summary The F&B Supervisor facilitates a superior dining experience for Ansley Golf Club members and their guests. The F&B Supervisor assists in organizing, directing, training, and coordinating Service Staff activities. The F&B Supervisor assembles, serves, and delivers food and beverage items using appropriate safety and sanitation methods, while adhering to the highest standards of professional etiquette. Supports the Dining Room Manager and Banquet Manager by functioning as a daily shift supervisor and keeps Senior Leadership informed of teammate accomplishments and infractions via written communication.
Supports the management by communicating trends, inventory needs, and making recommendations according to feedback
Oversees and leads team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of F&B department ensuring that the team adheres to company policies
Takes a proactive approach in achieving departmental goals: revenue, payroll, promotional, and others as assigned by management.
Performs walkthrough prior-to, upon close of, and throughout meal service times to ensure that all dining and banquet areas are cleaned and member-ready.
Participates in and or hosts line-up to ensure smooth, efficient service; assigns banquet servers to specific tasks, and coordinates the timing of courses.
Ensures the correct setup, breakdown and reset of dining and banquet outlets.
Monitors and supervises staff by maintaining a visible floor presence to ensure the Ansley Experience is consistently delivered.
Ensures service areas are stocked and maintained with all supplies needed for shift.
Greets members and their guests in a warm and friendly manner.
Informs members and staff of specials and is knowledgeable about menu and wine list.
Ensures food is properly delivered and tables are cleared of any nonessential items.
Consistently maintains and expands food and beverage knowledge specifically as related to the Club Menus and Offerings.
Constantly seeks opportunities to support team members by assisting with the training and development of both new and existing employees.
Ensures equipment/service area is cleaned as indicated by side work sheet at beginning and end of shift and informs Senior Leadership of necessary repairs as they occur.
Always maintains the highest standard of cleanliness on club property
Adheres to and enforces uniform standards while on property.
Assists in ancillary outlets with responsibilities specific to the area based on business needs
Banquets, Training & Development, A La Carte, Beverage, Men's Grille, Reception
Completes other duties as assigned.
Requirements Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
Hospitality degree a plus
Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, strong communication skills, and work with a minimum of supervision
Must present a neat and professional appearance
Alcohol awareness certification a plus
Work requires interactions with members, public, and co-workers
Must be flexible to work shifts: days, evenings, weekends, holidays. Shifts may vary based on business needs
Strong customer service orientation.
Two years banquet and dining experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Continuous standing and walking.
Frequent lifting, bending, reaching and pulling.
Occasional sitting; exposure to chemicals.
Must be able to work in an outdoor environment.
Position Classification and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. The assigned hours for this position vary around 40-50 per week, and include working on holidays and weekends. Reports to Director of Food and Beverage Manages and Supervises This position supervises FOH service staff during each day's shift.
