Residential Painter

Award-winning home builder in search of a full-time experienced Residential Painter with new residential construction experience to join our team. We place a lot of importance on providing exceptional quality and superior customer service. Therefore, having our homes look their best is crucial in meeting those objectives. Potential candidates must be honest, hard-working, respectful of others and other’s work, and dependable with reliable transportation. An individual who will be successful in this role will be able to complete work to our elevated level of expectations the first time with little if any supervision. Responsibilities of position:

• Doing any caulking, painting, & paint touch-ups for newly constructed homes prior to our customer’s final walk-through ensuring the home is presentable & meeting our very high standards.

• Completing warranty requests for any paint issues.

• Cleans up daily and after job is complete, which includes moving all items back to desired locations and sweeping/vacuuming floors and carpets for interior jobs, removing paint chips or other debris for exterior jobs, and removing all job materials

• Taping, papering, & otherwise protecting areas around painting and refinishing.

• Application of stains, coating, paint, other coatings, & sealants; use of equipment involved in such application.

• Completing quality paint touch-ups in a uniform finish in both occupied & unoccupied homes.

• Inspects work for the highest quality.

• Understands and executes work orders in a timely and professional manner.

• Maintains strict attention to detail when working at the properties.

• Follows all safety policies & procedures.

• Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees.

• Ensuring a clean workspace and delivering quality service to exceed the customer’s expectations.

• Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements of position:

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

• Must have great references and work history.

• Experience in residential painting with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience preferred.

• Must have high-quality finish work.

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Being friendly, works well as part of a team and independently, and take direction from superiors.

• Ability to understand and follow detailed directions in English.

• Ability to endure strong physical demands consistently through the course of the day.

• High School education or equivalent.

• Must be detail oriented & able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

• Highly organized and flexible.

• Self-directed and motivated.

• Effective communication and listening skills.

• Strong work ethic that can work with minimal oversight.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Physical Demand/Work Environment

The physical demands and work environment characteristics – candidate is frequently required to perform repetitive movements, walk, sit, stand, climb, work at heights greater than 10 feet, and handle physically demanding workloads and work outdoors. The associate must be able to lift, move, carry, push, and pull 100 pounds. Driving is required in this position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, bend, walk; use hands and fingers to control objects; reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to climb stairs and ladders; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; talk and hear.

The employee must be able to lift 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this job the employee works in both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to adverse weather conditions.
