Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for providing Administrative & Back Office support in a medical office setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Assist with medical scheduling and patient registration
- Collect and update patient information in electronic health records systems
- Verify insurance coverage and process necessary paperwork
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations of the office

Skills:
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including electronic health records systems
- Experience with Nextgen or similar software is a plus
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to handle phone systems and direct calls appropriately
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Assistant or CNA required.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient service
