We are looking for an energetic and positive leader excited to jump into Management at one of the busiest restaurants in San Diego!

An ideal candidate would have 2 or more years experience working in high volume or fine dining restaurants, open availability and passion for food and hospitality. Like, you follow all the foodie IG accounts, you cook at home, you understand the merits and drawbacks of a James Beard award, etc. And we would love a tinkerer. Someone who notices a table is wobbly and grabs the tools and takes a peek at the base to see what can be tightened. Someone who notices a lightbulb is out on the patio and it's like nails on a chalkboard walking by it, so they have to replace it. Someone who tried to make their own dining room table, but it turned out kinda terrible so they bought one used on OfferUp, but they still keep the one they made in storage.

Responsibilities
Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
Interact with customers in a way that reflects positively on the brand, or smooths over any guest issues
Organize and supervise shifts
Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
Manage inventory on a weekly basis and reporting on a monthly basis
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Create weekly job schedule for dedicated department(s)
Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
Implement and follow policies and procedures that will maintain restaurant operations
Skills
Proven customer service experience as a manager
Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable, Aloha, Compeat and Microsoft Office is a plus
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Familiarity with basic tools and repair skills or willingness to learn

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
