AngleZ Behavioral Health Services is Hiring a Human Resource Assistant Near Augusta, ME

This is you opportunity to join a Human Resource Department and work for a growing company that has long term administration and staff looking to grow its workforce as the company grows in the Substance Use Disorder and Behavioral Health field. AngleZ Behavioral Health (ABHS) is a company located in Augusta Maine but provides support to patients in numerous counties. We work to support those who are in need on multiple levels including homelessness, substance use disorders, and Behavioral Health needs in all age groups. We are an agency that has a large population of culturally inclusive adult and children’s services programs.

We are seeking a team-oriented individual to join our growing organization in our Human Resources Department!

Job Duties:

You will serve as a member of the administrative team on all Human Resources practices that support AngleZ Behavioral Health, PA management and employees. Ensure consistency of Human Resources policies, programs, procedures, and equitable treatment. You will promote and coordinate efforts with colleagues and leadership across the organization to support and build alignment across teams, and departments throughout AngleZ Behavioral Health Services, while enhancing the presence of the organization throughout our service areas.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Recruits, screens, interviews, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Maintain all the documentation and files related with the employee life cycle.
  • Coordinate the performance evaluation process and the annual salary review cycle.
  • Keep records of all personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Responsible for all pension plan enrollments, loans, and terminations
  • Play an advisory role, coaching and supporting managers on various aspects of the daily management of their teams.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with employees through active engagement and presence throughout all of the agency’s events.
  • Facilitate LOA requests (FMLA, STD, LTD, WC, etc) according to HR policies, procedures, and equitable treatment.
  • Develop community and employee relationships.
  • Develop staff engagement and retention programs.
  • Develop Social Media presence as it relates to recruitment.
  • Work with leaders on effective retention strategies and programs to retain top talent.
  • Conduct exit interviews, stay interviews, and employee surveys.
  • Provide information and recommendations on how to improve management practice.
  • Lead employee activity, communication, and recognition to improve employee engagement and morale.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Human Resources certification preferred.
  • Proven excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them.
