Atlas Medical is currently seeking a dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant. Aegis specializes in providing care for hospice and home health patients. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5pm in our Wasilla office.

The Medical Assistant is an important part of the Aegis Health Care team. The Medical Assistant works with patient care in a clinical setting. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Rooming patients, check vitals, and document basic medical history
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports
  • Arrange imaging orders and laboratory services
  • Assist during medical examinations and procedures
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
  • Comply with privacy/confidentiality policies and regulations

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Adaptive problem-solving skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Service oriented mindset
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred
  • Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable automobile
  • Proof of current automobile insurance
  • Criminal background check clearance/fingerprint clearance
  • Negative TB test
  • Must be at least (18) years of age

Working Environment:

  • Works indoors at Agency and occasional travel for office duties.
