Summary :
The mainfunction of a call center / customer service specialist is tointeract with customers to provide information in response toinquiries about products and services and to handle and resolvecomplaints.
A typical customer service specialist is responsiblefor determining the clients issue offer possible solutions orproviding followup as needed.
Customer service agents may beinbound outbound or a combination of both.
Job Responsibilities :
Resolve customers service orbilling complaints by performing activities such as exchangingmerchandise refunding money and adjusting bills.
Contactcustomers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claiminvestigation results and any planned adjustments.
Referunresolved customer grievances to designated departments forfurther investigation.
Keep records of customerinteractions and transactions recording details of inquiriescomplaints and comments as well as actions taken.
Solicitsale of new or additional services or products.
Skills :
Verbal and written communicationskills attention to detail customer service skills andinterpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently andmanage ones time.
Ability to accurately document andrecord customer / client information.
Previous experiencewith computer applications such as Microsoft Word andPowerPoint.
Education / Experience :
High school diploma or GEDrequired.
