OVERVIEW:

The Accounting Manager position leads the accounting operations of the company, enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards including the preparation of the consolidated financial statements. Additional responsibilities include maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, placing focus on optimizing department processes to increase accuracy and efficiency, conduct a variety of value added financial, operational and business process reviews in collaboration with other functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads the accounting team with day-to-day responsibilities
  • Ensures general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Establishing and maintaining internal controls
  • Coordinating or assisting with the budget process
  • Ensure timely monthly close
  • Manage the preparation and consolidation of the monthly Financial Statements
  • Evaluates trends, identifies and investigates unusual or unexpected account variances
  • Manage audit and preparation of audit report with external corporate auditors
  • Prepares other management and statutory reports, as required
  • Providing monthly, quarterly and year-end analysis
  • Research, analyze and document technical accounting pronouncements and emerging issues as they pertain to the Company
  • Manage all aspects of the Company’s tax reporting function ensuring timely and accurate regulatory filings
  • Coordinate with the Company’s tax advisors on all related aspects
  • Coordinate with management to develop and improve accounting policies, procedures and information flow
  • Work with all functions to develop and implement key business processes and appropriate controls.
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by the Controller 
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus
  • 10 years accounting experience
  • A team player that provides strong leadership, continues to gain knowledge with a successful track record of meeting deadlines, increasing efficiency, identifying and resolving issues, process improvements, researching and providing overall accounting support
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint required and SAP S/4 experience preferred
  • Experience with internal control process
