The Asset Integrity and Reliability Engineer is an AmSty central corporate Reliability, Turnaround and Maintenance team member. The Asset Integrity scope includes all of AmSty's Operations maintaining best in class performance. The Asset Integrity and Reliability Engineer is one of the company's digital tool subject matter experts. The person in this position provides critical priority-based work advises AmSty leadership on long-term reliability strategies and short-term capital projects. Adds value to AmSty by championing effective digital tool excellence and execution.
Would also consider this position to be located at the St James, Louisiana location or at our headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.
Primary Responsibilities:
    • A champion of the Mechanical Integrity Program which includes written standards and procedures
    • A leader in reducing risks and increasing asset performance executing Risk Based Inspection Standards and best practices
    • Holds the organization accountable for full compliance and safe operations of Mechanical Integrity Covered Equipment including metric reporting and audits
    • A technical lead in damage mechanisms with special emphasis focused on CUI and specific equipment
    • Supports evaluation of projects reported as End of Life using proactive reliability analysis tools
    • A team member contributing to the development of reliability improvement projects aligned to company's capital strategy
    • Actively monitors the development and advancement of tools for asset performance monitoring
    • Leverages and is a power user of the computerized maintenance management system running SAP
    • Supports APM and SAP digital excellence software and completes short term action plans
    • Communicates effectively across the organization in the effective use of the work process
    • Identifies appropriate training and mentoring for new Asset Integrity Engineers
    • Supports and ensures the effective implementation of most effective technology
    • Supports turnarounds and site work execution including inspection plans and job planning
Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
    • 3 - 10 years' experience in chemical or petrochemical industries (or equivalent)
    • Proficiency in English - bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
    • Strong written, verbal and listening communications skills
    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple programs, plants and priorities
    • Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to travel on periodic basis (i.e. 10 to 12 trips within the USA and Colombia per year)
Desired Skills and Competencies:
    • CMRP/CAMA/CRL/CRE certification a plus
    • Experience in SAP PM/PS, APM/IDMS software a plus
    • Plastics Recycling, Polystyrene, styrene or ethylene experience is a plus
    • API 510, 570 and 653 certification a plus
